Last night Ihad the privilege of speaking at the Indianapollis area Million Dollar Mingle. For those of you who are out of town, I tried to record it using my iPhone so that I could post it for you. I’m sorry that the last 15 minutes were not recorded, but I still think that it has value for you to download it and listen on your iPod or iPhone. ( the recording time is 30 minutes) Enjoy!

For those of you who are ready to visualize yourself achieving what I did, you can see my video under “My Story” above.

Posted by mentor site on April 30, 2010

This week my mentor, Barbara Furst shared some words of wisdom on the “Crusin With Susan” call. When asked her secret to all that she has achieved in her 34 years in business.  We know that we have to see ourselves achieving in our mind before it happens. What about if you CAN’T imagine yourself reaching those big goals? You can still do your very best. Listen here to Barbara. She has been such an inspiration to me, and I believe that you can learn from her too.

Always Do Your Best,

and Your Dreams Will Come True!!

It’s not always easy to know

which path to follow, which

decision to make, or what to do.

Life is a series of new horizons,

new hopes, new days, and changes

that come to you. And we all need

some help with these things from

time to time.

Remember these things:

Dream it. Do it. And discover how special

you are. Be positive, for your attitude will

affect the outcome of many things. Ask for

help when you need it; seek the wisdom

the world holds and hold on to it. Make

some progress every single day.

Begin. Believe. And become.

Give yourself all the credit you’re due; don’t

shortchange your qualities, your abilities, or

any of the things that are so unique about you.

Remember how precious life can be. Imagine.

Invest the time it takes to reach out of your dreams;

it will bring you happiness that no money on earth

can buy. Don’t be afraid; no mountain is too big

to climb if you do it at your own pace.

What’s the best thing to do? That’s simple:

Do your best.

And everything else will fall into place.

title pic Beginning Your New Year

Posted by mentor site on

By Sonya LaVay, SNSD

We all have the same 24 hours each day but, what we accomplish all depends on how we spend those 24 hours.
Set your GOALS now to keep the momentum going into the New Seminar Year with these suggestions:
  • Do some soul-searching to find out what you really want from your Mary Kay Career.
  • Decide what you want to accomplish by Seminar.
  • Write down your goal, then tell your Recruiter, Sr. Director and your NSD.
  • Make a plan on how you are going to accomplish your goal.  If you have difficulty in creating a plan, discuss it with your Sr. Director and your NSD.
  • Make a  committment to work toward your goal every day.  Be persistent.
  • Develop an “I Can Do” Attitude.
  • Put as much effort into working your business as you would if you were working a full-time job for someone else.  You’ll be pleasantly surprised by the results.
  • Stay focused… focused…. focused… FOCUSED…
  • Never, never, never, NEVER Give Up!
  • Enjoy the satisfaction of your accomplishments and the recognition onstage at Career Conference and Seminar
We have exciting things to look forward to in Mary Kay.  Remember, you are in control of your destiny.  Decide to be one who can say “I am glad I did” instead of “I wish I had.”

title pic A New Year Awaits Us!

Posted by mentor site on December 30, 2008

As the last few days of 2008 go by, are you starting to think about what your goals and dreams are for 2009?  As Mary Kay would always say, “If you knew you couldn’t fail…” what would your goals be for the new year?

I have created a goal sheet for you to use that allow you to put any goal that you want and break it down and make yourself accountable! Being accountable is such an important part of reaching a goal that I also wrote a post about it today on the parent site. I recommend that you take a few minutes to read and go over it tonight. Then put some thought into what YOU desire for the new year, not what you think that I want to hear!

It all begins in your mind. Will you create abundance? I would love to help you get everything that you want in the new year! Tell me what you think. I want to know what your goals are!

Mary Kay says…
“There are 6 reasons why
a woman buys something…
Because her husband says she can have it!
Because he says she can’t have it!
Because it will make her look thinner!
Because nobody else has one!
Because everyone has one!
Just because!!”

Preferred Hostess Program

Look for 25 Women who love to hold Classes

Why this is beneficial to YOU!!

Want to have 2 classes a week every week guaranteed?

Here’s how to do it:

Look for 25 women who LOVE to hold classes, shows etc.

You offer her the Preferred Hostess program, tell her you are only allowed to have 25 and you would like to offer it to her!!Here are the results:

25 women holding 4 parties @ year = 100 parties

100 classes a year divided by 50 weeks = 2 classes a week

100 Classes X $250 average = $25,000. in sales with a minimum 300 NEW customer base and you can always add new Preferred Hostess!!

By offering the different levels, Gold, Silver and Bronze, it allows a hostess to try the program once or twice without committing to all four parties. So make a list of 1 to 25 and start finding those preferred hostesses. Start with your existing Hostesses, good Customers, call them today and offer them your special as one of the 25 you are ALLOWED to have. Make them feel special!!! Treat them special…send thank you cards, reminder cards, especially birthdays etc….

Work the Program and Enjoy the Results!!!

This was broadcast on CNBC about six months ago. Gloria Mayfield Banks is the only person that I know that has the ability to deliver such wisdom within three minutes of airtime. Take five minutes and watch the replay here.

Remember Gloria’s Five Secrets-

  1. Become a People Magnet
  2. Short term strategic goals backed by big thinking
  3. Create a powerful circle of influence
  4. Work the numbers
  5. Study hard to become skill based

It sounds so simple, but if we follow these success principles, our outcome will be incredible!
